Hello world!

DISCLAIMER!!!!!
I do not know who (besides my sister-in-law) noticed the caption on my pregnancy ticker–but if you did, please know that I did not create the caption myself.
I’m sorry if anyone has been made uncomfortable and decided to leave my blog permanently…. JK, but–hopefully the caption will change soon, and we can all move on past this uncomfortable point.
And now….Big E!
Here they are…..
Constants in my life…..

My snow angels
We finally got some real snow here, that has stuck. The girls love getting out and playing in it. (Although Big E is a slight wimp, and always wants to come in before her younger sister.)

Snow never ceases to help me meditate on the power of our God. The creativity in His creation is amazing. Whenever I watch snow falling, it causes a sense of childlike wonder–and a thrill that the God Who is in charge of our whole universe cares about me and my little life!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!
For many of you, these will be repeat pictures….but some of you did not receive the ever-coveted Caucutt Christmas card or letter, and I don’t want anyone to feel left out.
So I thought I would post an e-Christmas card. This is partially due to my laziness and partially due to my lack of organization–either way, I did not get around to all of my Christmas plans this year and that is o.k.!! I am trying to daily remind myself that cookies and cards and pictures and gifts are not what this season is really about…..I want my kids to understand that Christmas should not involve stress and pressure, but should be a time to slow down and remind ourselves of what Christ did for us.
I hope that each of you is able to slow down at the end of this year, and reflect on Christ’s gift to us–not His coming as a baby, but His eternal gift of life! All of the fun and meaningful traditions that accompany this day are nice–but I want my focus to be on why we really celebrate this season. I can celebrate Christmas because Christ has given me a new and abundant life!
Enjoy your Christmas, whether with family and/or friends!!! I am thankful for the way in which each of you touches my life!
"It’s the most wonderful time of the year!"
Well, Thanksgiving is over and we are on to the busiest month of the year (in my opinion). I am sorry for the lack of blogging and picture posting as of late…..we flew out to Idaho to visit my family over Thanksgiving, and our lovely (free) cheap digital camera broke somehow on the way out. (I am blaming the airlines, but Josh thinks it was just time for the piece of junk to give out.) So…we have no pictures to document our fun time with family, and now we are heading into prime picture-taking season without a camera! Hopefully we will hit Best Buy soon, so I can get back in the groove of snapping insessant (sp.?) pictures of my children.
Gretchen has been requesting them, so I will try to oblige soon.
One of the fun times I missed on camera was the first big snow of the year. We received around 6 inches, and the girls were thrilled to don all of their winter gear and head out for some playtime. I love children in snowsuits and mittens, not to mention fleece hats that seem to be an addiction with me.
The girls were adorable making snow angels and helping me shovel. (And throwing snow at each other whenever they were angry about something….. Cherubs, I tell ya.) Hopefully I have painted a charming mental picture, and that will hold you over until the time that I can again post real pictures!
Enjoy each moment of this season, as we lead up to the celebration of our Saviour’s birth for us!
How do I love thee….?
O.K., my friend Tancy just tagged me (sorry, Tans, I don’t know how to link your blog to your name–I am technologically challenged). But anyways, she has a cool blog which you can find in the comments sections of my posts. (mom2mine)
Unknowingly, she is actually providing a free therapy/counseling session for me. I have been very negative to my husband lately, and we have not had much time to spend together as a couple. So this little post will be a way of helping to remember what a wonderful husband God has given me! (Thanks, Tancy!)
13 Things I Love About my Husband:
1) He is very handsome.
2) He loves the Lord and desires to serve Him.
3) He is a terrific father to our children.
4) He is extremely patient.
5) He works jobs that are not his favorite, just so we can live.
6) He is like a little kid when it comes to soccer.
7) He is an awesome coach and mentor to many kids.
He lets me go shopping and rarely scolds me.
9) He is very smart.
10) He does not care if he has other friends–he says I am enough.
11) He has an immense amount of integrity.
12) He always helps with the kids–even when the game is on.
13) He is knowledgeable is so many areas.
Now, I am tagging Danielle and Gretchen. Ha, ha!!!!
