Happy Spring!

I love it when the weather finally starts changing and I can break free from the confines of our house! The toddlers are equally excited about the chance to be outside…..and it is such a blessing to let them run themselves “energy-less”.
This Easter was so fun–I was able to teach the reason why we celebrate Easter, and all of the events that surrounded Christ’s resurrection. No confusion or pessimism from them…..they just believe that Jesus came back to life! Why are so many adults so confused by the concept???
We also survived the effects of 5 (yes, that is correct-5!) Easter baskets and all that they contained. I am still handing out candy to complete strangers, just to free our house of the sugar high. Am I the only one who does not find Easter baskets cute and sweet anymore?
Every day, the toddlers are more interesting. The way they play together is so fun to watch. (The way they fight is not as fun…..)
The oldest toddler attended a tea party, thrown by Cinderella, on Saturday. I think it was the highlight of her year. She boldly danced with the prince (and proceeded to follow him around the rest of the time.) And she showed Cinderella a new dance move that she could perform at the ball. Cinderella was extremely grateful, of course.
It was a fun morning for her and her cousin. They dressed up for the occasion, as you can see here. If time flies by as quickly as people tell me it does, she will be dressing up for jr./sr. banquets before I know it…..I need to enjoy the time now!
